My Pet Has Issues! is now offering training classes specifically for dogs with behavior challenges. If your dog is not a great candidate for traditional training classes, has been “kicked out” of obedience school, or could use some extra help in learning good behavior, the following classes may be for you. Classes are held in Cicero. If you'd like to be on our mailing list to receive updates when we add classes, please email info@mypethasissues.com and let us know.
As always, we are available to conduct in-home behavior consultations for more in-depth concerns. Classes are conducted by Danielle Basciano, Certified Pet Dog Trainer.
Salty Dogs! Class
This class is designed for dogs who are reactive around people or other dogs. Reactive dogs engage in barking, pulling, acting fearfully, or otherwise demonstrating anxiety. The goal of the class is to strengthen the owner/dog relationship and teach the dog alternate, positive behaviors for interacting with other dogs and humans. The course will include a telephone orientation with tthe trainer so she can customize the class to each dog's needs, followed by five in-person class sessions. Class will be limited to four dogs so the trainer can provide individualized attention to the needs of each dog.
Dates: October 12, 19, November 2, 9, and 16 from 6 to 7 PM
